Job Description

We’re growing our Edinburgh team and looking for a Building Surveyor who wants real responsibility, variety and the opportunity to shape their own career. You’ll work across a wide range of commercial projects-from technical due diligence and defects analysis through to project delivery-while building strong client relationships and developing your expertise across multiple service lines.

Main responsibilities

  • Deliver building surveying instructions including dilapidations, defects, due diligence and project work
  • Take ownership of your projects from start to finish-managing delivery, priorities and client expectations
  • Build strong client relationships and provide clear, practical, commercially focused advice
  • Manage project delivery and produce high-quality reports and outputs
  • Support business development and contribute to growing client relationships
  • Take responsibility for project performance, including fees, WIP and invoicing
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across disciplines as part of our ‘one team’ culture

About you

  • MRICS qualified (or equivalent) with commercial building surveying experience
  • Confident managing your own workload and delivering projects independently
  • Client-focused, with strong communication and relationship building skills
  • Commercially aware, with an understanding of fees and project performance
  • Proactive, organised and keen to develop your career
  • A collaborative team player who takes ownership and shows initiative
