Heavy Equipment Mechanic / Plant Engineer

$70,000 – $80,000

The Role:

  • Undertake preventative maintenance, servicing, and inspections on heavy equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, diesel engine, and mechanical faults.
  • Carry out breakdown repairs both in the workshop and at customer sites.
  • Complete service documentation and inspection reports.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Plant Engineer, Diesel Mechanic, or similar.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities.
  • Experience working on construction equipment, earthmoving machinery, cranes, generators, or related plant equipment.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and diesel systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
