Senior Project Manager – Defence & Nuclear

Location: Glasgow (Hybrid Working Available)

Are you a Senior Project Manager with a background in civil infrastructure, looking to deliver projects that truly make an impact? I am currently working with a well-established and highly regarded organisation that has secured a strong pipeline of work across the defence and nuclear sectors for the next 3-5 years. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Project Manager to support a complex and growing portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivering critical infrastructure projects within a secure and highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the delivery of complex civil and infrastructure projects across the full lifecycle
  • Provide client side project management from early stage design through to construction and handover
  • Manage programme, cost, risk, quality and stakeholder engagement
  • Establish and maintain effective governance and reporting structures
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, contractors and stakeholders
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget
  • Support and mentor junior team members
  • Contribute to bid submissions and business development activities

About You

  • Strong background in civil engineering or infrastructure project delivery
  • Experience delivering projects within regulated environments (defence, nuclear, rail, water or similar)
  • Working knowledge of NEC contracts
  • Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder environments
  • Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
  • Experience working with or alongside government or public sector clients is beneficial

Requirements

  • Minimum 5-6 years’ experience in a project management role within civil infrastructure
  • Degree qualified (or equivalent experience) in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • Professional accreditation (APM, PRINCE2 or similar) desirable
  • Ability to obtain Security Clearance (SC)
  • Must be a British National due to the nature of the projects
