Job Description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and nonclinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

The shift pattern for this post is full-time with out of hours.

This is a fixed-term post from August 2026 to August 2027.

Eligibility

  • Post FY level.
  • Minimum 6 months junior resident Orthopaedic experience (post FY2 level in UK) within the past 2 years.
  • General Medicine junior resident experience SHO within the past 3 years.

Requirements

  • Full registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  • Completed at least four years full time postgraduate training (or equivalent on a less than full time or flexible basis) with at least two years in a specialty training programme or specialty registrar locum appointment for training (LAT).
  • Equivalent training, experience or competencies, either in the UK or overseas.
