Cook – Glasgow Alcohol and Drug Residential Recovery Service (Stabilisation)

Employment Details

Location: Glasgow

Hours: Part time – 29.5 hours, 4 days a week covering every second weekend

Salary: £25,877 pro rata (approximately £13.45 per hour)

Contract: Permanent

Role Overview

• Manage day to day kitchen operations, including food ordering, budgeting and maintaining cleanliness.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food standards legislation.
• Prepare, cook and serve meals to residents, accommodating dietary requirements.
• Collaborate with support, nursing and medical staff to monitor residents’ health and behaviour.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary team activities and support residents’ personal goals.

Qualifications & Requirements

• IT skills required for all vacancies.
• Eligible to work in the United Kingdom; visa sponsorship not available.
• Valid UK driving licence not required.
• Cooking and housekeeping skills required; personal care not part of the role.
• Service users will be involved in the process.
• Where applicable, successful candidates may need to register with the SSSC within 6 months of start date.
