Financial Planning Systems and Reporting Partner – FTC until August 2027
Location: Glasgow – Hybrid working approach: combine time between home and office.
Role Purpose
Reporting into the Financial Planning & Analysis team within Chivas Brothers, this role is responsible for supporting the creation, extraction, and validation of financial data to enable accurate reporting and forecasting. It focuses on data quality, integration and the delivery of high quality, timely insights to business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Monthly and forecast population of Essbase Cubes and Oracle Planning & Budgeting Cloud Services (PBCS) using data from Oracle JD Edwards Enterprise (E1), ensuring accuracy and integrity.
- Lead extraction, reconciliation, and validation of data from JD Edwards Enterprise into the Polaris Reporting Tool, including quarterly intercompany loads.
- Population of forecast data and management of the Master Data Hub Platform to support the Polaris Reporting Tool.
- Maintain and optimise Power BI dashboards to deliver actionable reporting insights.
- Maintain data repositories, perform root cause analysis of inconsistencies, and propose corrections with Tech Teams.
- Champion data driven decision making, employing KPIs, models and tools across the business.
- Guide end to end data integration procedures from transactional tools to financial planning tools.
- Develop and implement effective data management procedures and identify efficiencies for automation.
- Provision of user support, admin of user accounts, security roles, and access controls within EPBCS and Essbase.
- Demonstrate decision making and problem solving skills; support the delivery management team.
Essential Requirements
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and processes.
- Good knowledge of business processes and brand awareness.
- Experience in data analysis and proven analytical skills.
- Methodical, adaptable approach; synthesise information for stakeholders.
- Strong data visualisation and documentation skills.
- Technical, analytical, problem solving and decision making skills.
- Proficiency in Excel – formulas, pivots, modelling.
- Experience using Jira or similar delivery tools.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

- Strong team player who delivers results under pressure.
- Self directed initiative with minimal supervision.
- Experience with Hyperion Essbase or similar OLAP tool.
Desirable Requirements
- Programming skills: SQL, Oracle, Python.
- Knowledge of report generation, database structure, extract & load for SQL Server.
- Experience with JD Edwards Enterprise (E1).
- Ability to develop and maintain documentation of coding logic, testing, and corrections.
