Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Pupil Support Assistant to support individuals and pupil groups at Hillwood Primary School.

Responsibilities

• Support individual pupils and pupil groups at Hillwood Primary School.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic and skilled with relevant experience working with children in an educational setting.
• Experience supporting children with emotional and behavioural needs.
• Skilled in establishing effective positive relationships with children at various primary school stages.

Regulated Work

• This post is considered Regulated Work with vulnerable children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment by the City of Edinburgh Council.

Pay

• The City of Edinburgh Council applies a Living Wage allowance to ensure that all employees earn at least £9.34 per hour. Successful applicants will be paid the hourly rate for the role plus the allowance to bring their earnings to £9.34 per hour.
