The Position
We are currently looking for an experienced, full-time Mechanic to join our small, friendly team, maintaining our large fleet of over 200 vehicles and plant equipment. This role is Monday to Friday 6am – approx. 3pm, with overtime and occasional weekend work.
Day to day you will:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on trucks, mobile plant equipment, light vehicles and other equipment as required.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
- Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to assess and repair equipment efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and guidelines.
Requirements:
- Heavy Diesel Mechanic trade qualification
- Minimum 3+ years experience as a mechanic
- Valid Victorian HR license highly regarded
- Ability to work autonomously, and as part of a team
- Experienceworking with civil construction machinery is highly regarded
