Role Overview
This temporary post holder will provide a dietetic service to patients with ovarian and endometrial cancer, working closely with the multidisciplinary team (MDT), colorectal and oncology services, and supporting the surgical dietetic team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering dietetic care to patients with ovarian and endometrial cancer.
- Co ordinating with the MDT, colorectal, oncology, and surgical teams to integrate dietetic input into patient care plans.
- Participating in student training (B & C placements) and supporting other clinical specialties as required.
- Engaging with clinical governance, providing supervision, participating in annual appraisals, and attending peer support and training opportunities to develop clinical skills.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Registered dietitian with relevant experience in oncology dietetics.
- Member or in the process of becoming a member of the PVG Scheme for the required regulatory group (child and/or adult). If not current member, a successful application to Disclosure Scotland must be made before commencing work.
- Valid permission to work in the United Kingdom.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to clinical governance standards.
Schedule
As from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours. Part time hours will be reduced pro rata, with a corresponding hourly rate adjustment to maintain overall pay.
