Job Description
Role Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Dietitian to join the Royal Infirmary Dietetic Team. This temporary post holder will provide a service to patients with ovarian and endometrial cancer, linking with multidisciplinary team, colorectal and oncology services. The post holder will also support the surgical dietetic team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide dietetic service to patients with ovarian and endometrial cancer.
- Link with multidisciplinary team (MDT), colorectal and oncology services.
- Support the surgical dietetic team.
- Participate in student training (B & C placements).
- Provide support to other clinical specialties as required.
- Engage in CPD and clinical governance, including supervision, annual appraisals, peer support and training opportunities.
Requirements
- Valid PVG Scheme membership or record for the appropriate regulatory group (child and/or adult).
Salary and Working Hours
- Base: The Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh
- Post: Specialist Dietitian Gynaecology Service
- Salary: Band 6
- Employment type: Fixed-term
- Hours of work: 36 hours per week (full-time). As of 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours per week, with a corresponding increase in hourly rate to keep pay unchanged.
