Role Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Dietitian to join the Royal Infirmary Dietetic Team. This temporary post holder will provide a service to patients with ovarian and endometrial cancer, linking with multidisciplinary team, colorectal and oncology services. The post holder will also support the surgical dietetic team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide dietetic service to patients with ovarian and endometrial cancer.
  • Link with multidisciplinary team (MDT), colorectal and oncology services.
  • Support the surgical dietetic team.
  • Participate in student training (B & C placements).
  • Provide support to other clinical specialties as required.
  • Engage in CPD and clinical governance, including supervision, annual appraisals, peer support and training opportunities.

Requirements

  • Valid PVG Scheme membership or record for the appropriate regulatory group (child and/or adult).

Salary and Working Hours

  • Base: The Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh
  • Post: Specialist Dietitian Gynaecology Service
  • Salary: Band 6
  • Employment type: Fixed-term
  • Hours of work: 36 hours per week (full-time). As of 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours per week, with a corresponding increase in hourly rate to keep pay unchanged.
