Duties of the LCV Technician role
- Diagnose vehicle faults manually and using digital/diagnostic tools
- Prepare accurate cost and time estimates for repairs
- Repair or replace faulty vehicle components efficiently
- Refer complex repairs to specialist technicians
- Maintain accurate vehicle records in liaison with Transport Managers
- Manage parts inventories alongside the Stores team
- Assist and mentor apprentices or work experience individuals
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company standards
Requirements
- Level 2 or 3 LCV Technician qualification preferred, but relevant experience will be considered
- Full UK Driving Licence is essential
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Self motivated with a positive attitude and good problem solving skills
- Willingness to undertake training to meet professional competency standards
- Previous experience working within a highway maintenance or vehicle repair environment is advantageous
