Modern Apprentice – Gardener/Groundsperson (817724)

Salary: £24,547 per annum

FTE: 1.0 (35 hours per week)

Term: Fixed (24 months)

Closing date: 7 June 2026

Responsibilities

• Assist and receive training in the maintenance of trees, shrubs, ornamental grass areas, and grass cutting.
• Maintain horticultural equipment and hard and soft landscape areas across the University campuses.
• Participate in day release and work-based assessment activities as part of SVQ Level 2 Landscaping training.

Qualifications and Eligibility

• Must be 20 years old or younger (or under 20 to start the scheme).
• Apprentices aged with a disability or who are from a care background are eligible for full funding.
