Job Description
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced band 6 midwife to join our team here at NHS Fife.
NHS Fife maternity is a modern, thriving and progressive unit with approximately 3000 births per year, providing outpatient and community services and a complex care Consultant Unit, a Midwife Led Unit, a Planned Caesarean Section team and an Induction of Labour Suite.
Responsibilities
- Assist, lead, nurture and develop the maternity service.
- Provide high level training and education for staff and support students in midwifery education.
- Deliver evidence based, safe and effective care to pregnant women and families.
Qualifications
- Experienced NMC Registered Midwife, educated to degree level.
- Enthusiastic, with excellent team working skills and effective communication.
- Prior to appointment, membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme is required.
