Salary & Hours

Salary: £26,806-£27,032
Hours: 27.75 per week, 39 weeks sessional

Working Pattern

Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 3.15pm
Friday 8.30am to 12.30pm

About the Role

We are looking for five conscientious, committed candidates with excellent inter personal and communication skills. You will be working as part of a team, with many training opportunities to support you in working with our children and young people. Previous experience of working in a school would be desirable.

PSAs do not work during the 12 weeks of school holidays; however, the total salary is paid in 12 equal monthly payments, over the year. Please read the sessional working information attached to this advert. This explains how salaries are calculated for sessional (term time) and part time posts.

There are also opportunities to work in a holiday hub provision during the school holidays for successful candidates looking to work during the school holidays.

Legal and Background Checks

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
