Pupil Support Worker
St Crispin’s School – a special school for primary and secondary age pupils with complex long term additional support needs, primarily intellectual disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorders.
Salary: £27,257-£29,850 (pro rata for part time and sessional). Hours: 30 per week, 39 weeks sessional. Working pattern: Monday-Thursday 8:30 a.m.-3:35 p.m.; Friday 8:25 a.m.-1:20 p.m.
Each class has a maximum of 6 learners. Pupil Support Workers work as part of a class team, alongside the class teacher, to support each learner to reach their full potential.
Desirable experience: working with children with intellectual disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
This post is regulated work with children or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The successful candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. If you have spent 3 months or more out of the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. All checks must be satisfactory before an unconditional offer is made.
