Position: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Type: Permanent
Basic: up to £42,000
Location: Glasgow
We are recruiting for a multi-skilled maintenance engineer based in the Glasgow area covering the maintenance of a large-scale estate. The role will involve general mechanical aspects of building maintenance including plant room, basic plumbing, HVAC and compliance, etc.
The role is a permanent position paying up to £42,000 basic and is based on a continental shift pattern: Week one – 2 days on, 2 days off, and 3 on; Week two – 2 days off, 2 days on, and 3 off. Shifts run from 6am to 6pm.
Responsibilities
- Completing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance for the following areas:
- Mechanical plant room
- Pumps and valves
- Plumbing maintenance
- Basic AHU/fan coil upkeep
- Checks and compliance duties, including water/tap temperature checks, etc.
- Small works installation
- Emergency repairs
- All ad hoc maintenance tasks
Requirements
- A qualified Mechanical Engineer or Commercial-grade plumber
- Experience with plant rooms, AHUs, FCUs, etc.
- Previous PPM and reactive maintenance experience
- Excellent client-facing skills
- Valid driving license
- Willingness to complete fabric and plumbing tasks
- Ability to pass a PVG check
