EfW Senior Maintenance Technician

Job Description

What will I be doing?

As an EfW Senior Mechanical Technician, you’ll play a key role in keeping our energy recovery plant operating safely, efficiently and sustainably. You’ll combine hands on technical expertise with people leadership, helping to develop others while ensuring high standards across the site.

• Planning and delivering mechanical maintenance activities to maximise plant availability and reliability
• Leading, coaching and mentoring technicians, supporting skills development and knowledge sharing
• Ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation at all times
• Providing specialist technical advice and supporting continuous improvement initiatives
• Taking a cost effective, best practice approach to maintenance without compromising safety or quality

What are the requirements?

We’re looking for a confident, inclusive leader with a strong practical background in maintenance within a regulated, heavy industry environment.

• An HNC in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent hands on experience)
• Proven experience in a maintenance role within EfW, power generation, manufacturing or similar sectors
• Good working knowledge of environmental and safety legislation
• The ability to communicate technical information clearly to different audiences
• A collaborative leadership style focused on performance, learning and safety

A formal Health & Safety qualification is desirable, but not essential.
