Senior Rural Surveyor – Aberdeen

Our client, a well-established and highly regarded multi-disciplinary property consultancy, is seeking an experienced Rural Surveyor to join their growing team in Aberdeen.

This is an excellent opportunity for a surveyor with at least two years’ post-qualification experience to take on a varied and rewarding role, providing specialist advice on rural assets across Scotland. The position will focus particularly on rural valuations and sales, while offering exposure to a broad range of consultancy work.

Although primarily office-based in Aberdeen, the role will involve occasional travel to other locations.

The Role

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering a wide range of rural consultancy, valuation and professional services
  • Acting as lead agent and providing management advice on rural property matters across various land uses and transactions
  • Undertaking valuations of property and associated interests for purposes including sales, lettings, secured lending, tax planning and more
  • Appraising, marketing and selling rural land and property assets in collaboration with colleagues across the wider business
  • Providing general property advice, including planning, wayleaves, sporting rights, access negotiations and diversification projects

The Candidate

The successful candidate will:

  • Be an MRICS qualified surveyor
  • Be a RICS Registered Valuer (or eligible to register)
  • Ideally hold CAAV membership
  • Have a minimum of two years’ relevant post-qualification experience
  • Demonstrate strong commercial awareness and the ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Be proactive, self-motivated and confident in developing new business opportunities
  • Act as a professional ambassador in all client interactions

A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential due to the travel requirements of the role.
