Are you a senior operational leader ready to make group wide impact in a safety critical, high performance environment? We are seeking a Group Operations Manager to lead, optimise, and elevate our oil and gas operations, ensuring consistent delivery, operational excellence, and a strong safety culture across the business.

Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership

  • Provide operational leadership across all Glenrothes Proclad group operations, ensuring consistent delivery against safety, quality, cost, and schedule targets
  • Oversee day-to-day operations across several sites, assets, ensuring alignment with group standards and objectives
  • Support business growth by contributing operational input to bids, tenders, and new project mobilisation
  • Champion a strong HSE culture across the group, leading by example
  • Ensure full compliance with UK and international oil & gas regulations, industry standards, and company policies
  • Monitor safety performance, investigate incidents, and implement corrective and preventative actions

Performance & Continuous Improvement

  • Establish and monitor operational KPIs, driving improvements in productivity, uptime, and efficiency
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimisation, cost reduction, and standardisation of best practices
  • Analyse operational data to identify risks, trends, and improvement opportunities
  • Manage operational budgets and cost controls across the group, ensuring delivery within approved financial targets
  • Work closely with finance and commercial teams to support forecasting, cost reporting, and margin optimisation
  • Support contract and supplier management, ensuring value for money and service quality

People & Capability Management

  • Lead, develop, and mentor operational and site management teams
  • Support workforce planning, succession planning, and capability development
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders, clients, partners, and regulators
  • Build strong relationships with clients and joint venture partners, ensuring operational delivery meets contractual and service expectations

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably within the UK.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement operational strategies that drive performance and efficiency.
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and controlling costs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
  • Proficiency in using operations management software and tools.
