Overview
As a Support Worker at Affinity Trust, you’ll play an important role each day by supporting people to take part in the activities and experiences they value, helping them to live with confidence and independence.
Training & Requirements
- Training: Full training provided + SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care
- Required: Full UK driving licence and access to a car
- An enhanced PVG check is required (paid for by us)
Responsibilities
In this role, you will provide dedicated 1:1 support to a lady who enjoys being active in her community every day, so being a confident driver is essential. You will have the opportunity to support others from time to time and help create a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment where everyone can thrive.
She has a range of interests including gardening, swimming, arts and crafts, and listening to her favourite artist, Daniel O’Donnell. We’re looking for someone who shares her enthusiasm for these activities and is passionate about supporting people to live full and meaningful lives.
She lives in a shared home with two other ladies and two gentlemen. Each person has their own unique needs, including learning disabilities, mental health needs, physical disabilities, and personal care requirements.
Key activities include:
- Supporting her to attend community activities such as gardening, swimming, arts and crafts, and listening to music.
- Helping her and others to fulfil and enjoy daily routines and achieve goals.
- Building trust, connection, and independence.
- Developing yourself alongside a compassionate, mindful and dedicated team.
