Senior Architect – APIGEE (Migration) – Exp -:10+ Years – Edinburgh/Hybrid – Contract – Start ASAP Senior Architect – APIGEE

Employment Type: Contract

We are seeking an experienced Senior Architect – APIGEE to lead enterprise API management initiatives, platform transformation, and migration programs. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Apigee platform architecture, including hands-on experience migrating from APIGEE Edge to Apigee Hybrid/X environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of API management solutions using APIGEE.
  • Drive migration programs from APIGEE Edge to Apigee Hybrid/X.
  • Design scalable, secure, and high-performance API platforms.
  • Define API governance, security, and lifecycle management standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including cloud, DevOps, security, and application teams.
  • Provide technical leadership, solution architecture, and best practice guidance.
  • Support CI/CD integration and automation for API deployments.
  • Troubleshoot complex platform and integration issues.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years of overall IT experience with strong API management expertise.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with APIGEE Edge, Apigee Hybrid, and Apigee X.
  • Proven experience in APIGEE platform setup, configuration, and enterprise-scale migrations.
  • Strong understanding of API security, OAuth, JWT, OpenID Connect, and API gateways.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, GCP, cloud-native architectures, and container platforms.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and infrastructure automation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
  • GCP certifications or APIGEE-related certifications are a plus.
  • Exposure to microservices and enterprise integration patterns.
