HGV Class 2 Driver
Job Description
Due to increased demand from a new customer in Paisley, Driver Hire Paisley is currently recruiting a Class 2 HGV Driver for an immediate start.
This is a key role within the operation, requiring a reliable, self motivated driver who is comfortable working independently and supporting yard operations when required.
The Role
You will be responsible for carrying out safe and efficient deliveries to various sites across the region. When not out on deliveries, yard work will be required. A positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive and operate a Class 2 (LGV / HGV) vehicle
- Make safe, compliant deliveries to multiple locations
- Assist with yard duties when not on the road
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance
- Complete all required paperwork accurately
- Adhere to all company, safety, and regulatory guidelines
Requirements
- Valid Class 2 (LGV / HGV) licence
- Driver CPC card
- Maximum of 3 penalty points
- Flexible, reliable, and safety conscious approach to work
- PAYE rate: £14 to £28 per hour
- Holiday pay accrued
- Pension contributions
- All PAYE and National Insurance paid directly to HMRC
