Job Description
Senior Civil Engineer – Drainage & Wastewater Design
Location: Glasgow, Scotland. This role can be worked flexibly with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.
About the role
As a Design Engineer in the Water team, you’ll play a key role in shaping essential infrastructure projects that serve communities. You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team, taking projects from early ideas through to delivery for local authorities, water companies and major infrastructure clients.
What you’ll do
- Define project briefs, set deliverables, milestones and ensure quality and consistency across the project lifecycle.
- Produce and check technical designs such as calculations, drawings and reports.
- Coordinate with other disciplines, manage design changes and deliver work to agreed time, cost and quality standards.
- Support business growth through bids, tenders, and building strong client relationships.
Requirements
- Chartered Engineer status or working towards with a relevant institution such as ICE or CIWEM.
- Strong interpersonal and team working skills and excellent written and verbal communication.
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience of water and wastewater infrastructure design, including multidisciplinary integration.
- Experience in design, contract and tender preparation, tender assessment and contract administration.
