Optical Assistant – Full Time – Glasgow – 25,500 + Excellent Perks + Career Progression

We are looking for a customer-focused Optical Assistant to join a high-performing, fast-paced practice in Glasgow. This full-time, permanent role is with a respected franchise partner of one of the UK’s most established and trusted optical brands.

PLEASE NOTE: ONLY APPLICANTS WITH A MINIMUM OF 12 MONTHS’ EXPERIENCE IN OPTICS WILL BE CONSIDERED.

” Salary: 25,500 per annum

” Hours: Full-time, including one weekend day per week (Saturday or Sunday

” Flexibility: May occasionally support a second local practice

Main Responsibilities

” Dispensing spectacles to all levels, including complex prescriptions
” Conducting pre-screen tests and contact lens teaches
” Frame styling, fittings, adjustments and collections
” Advising customers on frame and lens options
” Reception and general administrative duties
” Keyholder responsibilities and supporting the manager as needed

What We’re Looking For

” At least 12 months’ experience working in optics
” Solid dispensing and pre-testing knowledge
” Team-oriented with good communication skills
” A strong focus on customer care and professionalism
” Someone looking to progress and develop within the industry
