Job Description
My client are currently looking to recruit a QC Inspector to join their site in South Lanarkshire (commutable from Glasgow, Paisley, East Kilbride, Cumbernauld, Livingston & surrounding areas). This QC Inspector role is based on a rotating shift pattern, which is days (06:00 – 14:00), backs (14:00 – 22:00) and nights (22:00 – 06:00).

Quality Inspectors are responsible for inspecting finished products to ensure they meet quality standards. You’ll also be involved in creating first-offs, reviewing process setups and ensuring products meet or exceed customer specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed inspections of products using AQL criteria and any relevant documentation e.g. Procedure Sheets
- Ensure that all inspections are carried out in compliance with customer-specific requirements, quality standards, and industry regulations
- Check product dimensions, surface finishes, colour consistency, functionality, and other quality parameters to ensure conformity to specifications
- Work closely with the production team to review and validate process setups, ensuring proper adjustments are made to meet quality standards
- Communicate effectively with the team lead and other departments regarding first-off results and any adjustments required during the production process
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure smooth operations and to promptly address any quality concerns identified during the inspection process
Experience required:
- Basic knowledge of measurement tools (e.g., callipers, micrometers, gauges) and the ability to use them accurately
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to detect defects or deviations from quality standards
