GENERAL PRACTITIONER / MEDICAL DOCTOR
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate General Practitioners to join dynamic NHS healthcare teams. Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care services, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
- Conduct patient consultations, physical examinations, and preventive health screenings.
- Prescribe medications and refer patients to specialist services when required.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic patient records using NHS systems (training provided).
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including nurses, pharmacists, and allied health professionals.
- Participate in clinical audits, peer reviews, and continuous professional development (CPD) activities.
- Adhere to all NHS policies, clinical guidelines, and GMC standards for good medical practice.
- May involve participation in an on-call rota (with additional compensation).
Qualifications
- Primary medical degree (MBChB or equivalent) recognized by the UK General Medical Council (GMC).
- Eligibility for GMC Registration: Must have passed or be prepared to sit the UKMLA/PLAB 2 examination. (Sponsorship for approved candidates may be provided).
- Valid annual practice license from the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).
- Minimum of two (2) years of continuous post-internship clinical experience in a hospital setting.
- Certificate of Good Standing from all medical councils previously registered with.
- English Language Proficiency: IELTS (Overall 7.5, minimum 7.0 in each component) or OET (Grade B).
- Excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
