About the Role
Precision Build, a growing domestic construction company in Brighton, is seeking a reliable and experienced part time Bookkeeper to manage day to day finances and support continued growth.
Role Overview
You will oversee financial records, process accounts, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with regulations. The role requires proficiency in Xero, strong organisational skills, and experience in construction bookkeeping.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain financial records using Xero
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions
- Prepare financial reports and summaries for management
- Assist with budgets and forecasts
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
- Support year end audit processes with documentation
- Maintain organised filing systems for financial documents
- Manage purchase invoices, receipts, and supplier payments
- Raise sales invoices and track payments
- Log income and expenditure for VAT returns
- Manage CIS returns and subcontractor payments
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, ideally within construction
- Strong understanding of accounts payable and general ledger management
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
