Overview

Our expanding workload in groundwater resources and hydrogeology-related projects means we are actively recruiting to support our growing team. We are seeking energetic and innovative staff who can deliver solution oriented services to existing and new clients.

Stantec is looking for a Senior or Principal Hydrogeologist to support and deliver the hydrogeological and environmental aspects of varied projects across the UK. This position offers experience on a wide range of challenging projects and strong career growth for a self motivated candidate. If not already chartered, a significant commitment to obtain chartership is essential and will be fully supported.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver hydrogeological and environmental aspects of varied projects across the UK.
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding regulatory, business, and policy environments.
  • Work within multidisciplinary teams to support projects across the UK and internationally.
  • Oversee field based monitoring/sampling and drilling supervision.
  • Supervise pumping tests and conduct analysis.
  • Perform data analytics, scripting, and numerical groundwater modelling.
  • Conduct geochemical modelling and hydrochemical analysis.
  • Produce high quality oral and written communications, including site activity reports and interpretative reporting.
  • Manage data and quantitative analysis.

Qualifications

  • Hydrogeology MSc or relevant PhD and/or considerable post graduate experience in delivering hydrogeology related projects.
  • Chartered hydrogeologist or strong commitment to obtain chartership.
  • Experience in field based monitoring/sampling and drilling supervision.
  • Experience in pumping test supervision and analysis.
  • Experience with data analytics, scripting, numerical groundwater modelling, or geochemical modelling and hydrochemical analysis.
  • Ability to share knowledge with junior staff.
  • Strong site activity, reporting, data management, quantitative analysis, and science communication skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, time management, professionalism, and flexibility.
