Driver and Warehouse Assistant

Job Description

Come and join us as a Driver and Warehouse Assistant on a flexible hours basis to help us grow, deliver sales and exceed customer expectations.

As a Driver and Warehouse Assistant, you’ll be committed to delivering an outstanding level of service, professional, driven and enthusiastic. The role reports into the branch management team and provides the highest level of service to internal and external customers, delivering products against tight deadlines. It also involves assisting in the warehouse and may at times be customer facing within the branch, serving on the trade counter and dealing with customers over the telephone to maximize sales at every opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Keep the health and safety of yourself and your vehicle.
• Maintain and ensure the condition of your vehicle.
• Report any issues or incidents to your line manager.
• Comply with transport compliance law and regulations.
• Deal with stock and deliveries.
• Support the Branch Manager and Assistant Branch Manager with achieving and exceeding sales targets at optimum margins.
• Maintain high standards, create and retain a loyal customer base, and provide first class service.
• Assist with general duties within the branch such as serving customers on the trade counter and telesales.
• Maintain housekeeping standards on the trade counter and in warehousing.

Qualifications

Along with a clean driving licence, you will ideally have previous warehouse and driving experience. Knowledge of products associated with our industry would be an advantage. You must be flexible with working hours and able to deliver customer and business needs.
