Creative Copywriter
Reporting to: Creative Lead
Department: Creative Marketing
The Role
You’re a concept-driven copywriter with a sharp ear for tone of voice and a passion for storytelling. Working closely with the Creative Lead, you’ll take campaign ideas and develop how they come to life across every touchpoint.
This is not a leadership or management role, instead you’ll focus on craft, ideas, and execution, helping translate creative direction into compelling, cohesive brand experiences.
You’ll be responsible for shaping and maintaining our tone of voice, ensuring everything we say feels unmistakably Lucy & Yak.
What You’ll Be Doing Campaign Development

Take creative direction from the Creative Director and Creative Lead and develop campaign ideas into fully realised concepts

Help define how campaigns show up across channels, from initial thought to execution

Contribute ideas that support seasonal launches and brand storytelling
Copywriting & Tone of Voice Ownership

Own and evolve Lucy & Yak and L&Y’s tone of voice across all channels

Write clear, engaging, and inclusive copy that connects with our community

Ensure consistency in messaging across all touchpoints
Multi-Channel Execution
You’ll create and adapt copy across:

Campaigns: Key messaging and storytelling across all touchpoints

Sustainability: Impact report and sustainability blogs

Digital: Website, landing pages, and social content

CRM: Email marketing and ad copy

Search & Content: SEO-friendly copy and blog content

Retail: In-store messaging, POS, and activations
-
PR & Brand: Awards entries, press copy, and thought leadership
Collaborative Creative Development

You’ll be working closely with the graphic designers and the rest of the marketing team, but also with product, digital, retail and sustainability teams to support on creative idea and copy requirements

Support photoshoots and campaign production by helping shape narrative and messaging

Take feedback from senior creatives and refine work to a high standard
Cultural Awareness

Stay tapped into politics, fashion, and social justice, ensuring we stay at the forefront of the cultural conversation to inform future campaigns, ensuring we stay relevant and create content that our community truly aligns with.
Who You Are

The Experience: 2-4 years’ experience in a copywriting or creative role with a portfolio demonstrating strong copywriting and campaign thinking

A Full Picture Thinker: You understand how a campaign pivots between a mobile screen and a store window or Out of Home advert.

Strategic Storyteller: You have a proven track record of building integrated campaigns. A background in a creative agency is preferable.

Concept-to-Delivery Pro: You have experience working with multidisciplinary teams to bring a vision to reality.

The Right Tone of Voice: You can write memorable and inclusive copy that feels like a conversation with a friend.

Collaborative & Decisive: You enjoy working as part of a team and bringing ideas to life together. You’re open to feedback and keen to learn from senior creatives.
