Teaching Fellow in Animation

Salary: £41,064 – £48,822 per annum pro rata (Part Time: 17.5 hours per week, 0.5 FTE). Fixed term contract until 31 July 2027. One post available.
The School of Design seeks an enthusiastic and proactive individual for the Teaching Fellow in Animation role. The position involves developing, delivering, and assessing specialist animation courses, contributing expertise to the ECA Animation Programme. The candidate will teach across theory, practice and the history of animation, with an emphasis on production (stop motion and CGI), documentary, and client facing industrial engagement. The role requires administrative, teaching, assessment and practitioner responsibilities within the field of Animation studies.
Qualifications
- Motivated and experienced educator and/or practitioner in Animation.
- Master’s degree in Animation or a relevant subject, or equivalent experience in animation practice.
- Ability to teach across theory, practice, and history of animation, with emphasis on production.
- Experience engaging with industry clients and participating in industrial engagement.
