Senior Principal Clinical/Counselling Psychologist – 0.7 WTE
We are advertising a permanent post as Senior Principal Clinical/Counselling Psychologist (0.7wte) to join the Psychology service within our Renfrewshire Community Mental Health teams, based at Dykebar Hospital in Paisley. We are in the midst of merging Paisley CMHT and West Renfrewshire CMHTs, incorporating redesign for efficiency and innovation in our care and treatment pathways. The Psychology staffing in Community Mental Health Services currently comprises Consultant Clinical Psychologists, a Senior Principal Clinical Psychologist, Principal Clinical Psychologists and CBT therapists, all embedded within our integrated multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide specialist clinical supervision and training to MDT staff delivering psychological interventions within the service.
- Contribute to service audit and evaluation.
- Receive support, management and clinical supervision from a Consultant Clinical Psychologist.
Applicants should have post graduate doctoral level training in Clinical or Counselling Psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996), post doctoral clinical experience and training, and current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council. Post qualification experience in Adult Mental Health is essential.
