Salary: up to 60,000 dependant on experience

This role would suit candidates with 5+ years of experience in personal care / skincare formulation or development chemistry wanting to take the next step up or well-established manager looking for a change of pace
Key responsibilities:
- Support and work alongside the Technical Director in the day-to-day management and running of a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Lead the development and optimisation of personal care and cosmetic formulations from concept through to scale-up and launch.
- Design and execute laboratory experiments, troubleshoot formulation issues, and interpret data to drive new and existing product performance in the market
- Manage raw material selection and supplier engagement, including technical evaluation and review of new and existing products
- Oversee stability, compatibility and performance testing; document results and make evidence-based recommendations for reformulation
- Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, regulatory and commercial teams to ensure formulations meet specifications, compliance and consumer expectations.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring and (where applicable) line management to junior formulators and lab staff
Requirements:
- 5+ years of recent experience in formulation or development chemistry within personal care, skincare and cosmetics industry
- Full right to work in thlicencee UK – there is no sponsorship available for this role
- Is willing to relocate to/ travel to site in Glasgow 5 days a week
- Full UK drivers and own means of transport
