About the Role
As a Site Agent, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will play a key role in coordinating teams and subcontractors in a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily site operations on civil engineering and infrastructure projects
- Deliver works in line with programme, budget, and quality standards
- Lead site teams, engineers, and subcontractors
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Review and implement RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements)
- Monitor site progress and report to senior management
- Coordinate materials, plant, and labour across projects
- Maintain accurate site records and project documentation
Requirements
- Proven experience in Site Agent jobs within heavy civils or infrastructure
- Background in roads, bridges, utilities, or groundworks projects
- Strong knowledge of construction processes and site management
- SMSTS certification (essential)
- CSCS card (essential)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
Desirable Skills & Qualifications
- Degree / HNC / HND in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Experience on large-scale or high-value infrastructure projects
- Temporary Works Coordinator or Supervisor certification
- First Aid qualification
