About the Role

As a Site Agent, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will play a key role in coordinating teams and subcontractors in a fast-paced construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily site operations on civil engineering and infrastructure projects
  • Deliver works in line with programme, budget, and quality standards
  • Lead site teams, engineers, and subcontractors
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Review and implement RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements)
  • Monitor site progress and report to senior management
  • Coordinate materials, plant, and labour across projects
  • Maintain accurate site records and project documentation

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Site Agent jobs within heavy civils or infrastructure
  • Background in roads, bridges, utilities, or groundworks projects
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes and site management
  • SMSTS certification (essential)
  • CSCS card (essential)
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment

Desirable Skills & Qualifications

  • Degree / HNC / HND in Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • Experience on large-scale or high-value infrastructure projects
  • Temporary Works Coordinator or Supervisor certification
  • First Aid qualification
