Role Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced Civils Supervisor for a freelance, ongoing role based in Inverness. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic project team, overseeing civil engineering works with a strong focus on quality, safety, and environmental compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise day-to-day site operations across civil works
- Ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification
- Manage site teams, subcontractors, and coordinate activities effectively
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance
- Oversee and support peat handling operations in line with best practice
- Conduct site inspections, reporting, and documentation as required
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders
Requirements:
- Proven experience working as a Civils Supervisor
- Demonstrable experience in peat handling and environmental management
- Strong understanding of civil engineering practices and site supervision
- Valid CSCS card (or equivalent)
- SSSTS or SMSTS certification preferred
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and manage site operations effectively
