The Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to oversee a range of construction projects across the Highlands and Moray. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established contractor delivering projects across commercial, residential, and public sector developments.
As Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
You will play a key role in coordinating all site activities, acting as the main point of contact on site, and ensuring effective communication between subcontractors, clients, and the wider project team.
Key Responsibilities
Manage site operations from pre-construction through to handover
Plan, coordinate, and oversee subcontractors, trades, and direct labour
Ensure full compliance with health & safety legislation, carrying out inductions, toolbox talks, and site inspections
Monitor progress against programme and proactively address any delays or issues
Coordinate materials, plant, and logistics to maintain workflow
Maintain accurate site records including RAMS, ITPs, site diaries, and progress reports
Lead and attend site meetings, providing updates to clients and senior management
Ensure works are completed to required quality standards and specifications
Liaise with clients, consultants, architects, and engineers to ensure smooth project delivery
Support commercial teams with variations, valuations, and cost control where required
About You
Proven experience working as a Site Manager within the construction industry
Strong track record delivering new build and/or refurbishment projects
Experience managing projects within sectors such as education, healthcare, commercial, or residential
Excellent understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and site logistics
Confident managing multiple trades and subcontractors on site
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Proactive, solutions-focused approach with attention to detail
Qualifications & Certifications
SMSTS (essential)
CSCS Card – Black or Gold (preferred)
First Aid (essential)
Temporary Works Coordinator/Supervisor (desirable)
Asbestos Awareness (desirable)
