Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily factory production and ensure efficient workflow
  • Allocate labour effectively across fabrication tasks and projects
  • Maintain high standards of quality control, checking dimensions and finished work
  • Supervise and support workshop staff, ensuring productivity and safety compliance
  • Interpret technical drawings and ensure accurate execution on the shop floor
  • Carry out hands-on fabrication work including marking out, cutting, drilling, and welding
  • Monitor project timelines and ensure deadlines are consistently met
  • Identify and resolve production issues quickly and effectively

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a factory foreman or supervisory role within the steel fabrication industry
  • Strong hands-on skills in welding and fabrication
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately
  • Competence in marking out, cutting, drilling, and assembling steel components
  • Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and precision
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a busy manufacturing environment
  • Solid understanding of health and safety practices in a workshop setting
