Responsibilities
- Oversee daily factory production and ensure efficient workflow
- Allocate labour effectively across fabrication tasks and projects
- Maintain high standards of quality control, checking dimensions and finished work
- Supervise and support workshop staff, ensuring productivity and safety compliance
- Interpret technical drawings and ensure accurate execution on the shop floor
- Carry out hands-on fabrication work including marking out, cutting, drilling, and welding
- Monitor project timelines and ensure deadlines are consistently met
- Identify and resolve production issues quickly and effectively
Requirements
- Proven experience in a factory foreman or supervisory role within the steel fabrication industry
- Strong hands-on skills in welding and fabrication
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately
- Competence in marking out, cutting, drilling, and assembling steel components
- Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and precision
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy manufacturing environment
- Solid understanding of health and safety practices in a workshop setting
