HGV Class 1 Container Driver – C+E – Coatbridge
People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Container Driver – C+E to join our well-established client based in Coatbridge. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work and genuine opportunities for growth and progression within a respected logistics operation.
This role is ideal for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver looking for consistent container work and long-term opportunities.
Shifts
• Friday to Monday: Start time from 5.00am and 6.00am
Rates of Pay
• £14.74 per hour – Friday• £22.13 per hour – Saturday• £22.13 per hour – Sunday• £14.74 per hour – Monday

Day-to-Day Duties
As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):
• Operating Class 1 (Category C+E) vehicles safely and efficiently• Completing container collections and deliveries• Handling double-decker trailers on certain routes• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects• Ensuring all loads are secured and transported safely• Completing loading and delivery duties as required• Communicating effectively with transport and warehouse teams• Adhering to UK traffic laws, road safety regulations and company procedures
Essential Skills
To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Container Driver, you will need:
• A valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) Driving Licence• A valid Driver CPC qualification• A valid Digital Tachograph card• No more than six penalty points for minor offences• No IN, DR, DD or CD endorsement codes• Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks• Reliable, professional and punctual• Strong understanding of road safety and compliance
Desirable Experience
• Previous container driving experience
Training Provided
• Full onboarding support provided• Ongoing support and development throughout your assignment
