Driver’s Mates – Lanark
Urgent requirement / guaranteed 48 hours per week / temp – perm opportunity
People Solutions are currently recruiting a Driver’s Mate on behalf of our client based in Lanark.
This is an immediate start opportunity offering guaranteed full-time hours and the chance to secure a permanent position for reliable candidates.
The site is in Lanark and you must be able to drive and have your own transport due to early start times.
Shifts:
- Monday to Friday
- Start times can be as early as 4:00am
- Guaranteed 48 hours per week
Pay Rate:
£12.71 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:
Your duties as a Driver’s Mate will be:
- Assisting drivers with deliveries to customer’s homes
- Loading and unloading products safely (heavy lifting involved)
- Supporting with route completion and paperwork
- Delivering excellent customer service
- Following all health & safety procedures
Essential Skills:
The skills required to be a Driver’s Mate will be:
- Must drive and have access to your own transport due to location of the site and start times
- Able to travel to Lanark for early morning starts
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
Training:
- Site assessment prior to start
- Manual handling training provided
- Drug and alcohol test required before starting
