Regional HSE Manager – Renewable Energy – Moray (Scotland) – £65-71k + bonus
We are supporting an innovative renewable energy business in the search for a Regional HSE Manager to lead health, safety and environmental performance across three operational sites in the north of Scotland.
The business are pioneers in anaerobic digestion technology, converting organic by-products into renewable biogas for electricity, gas and fuel generation. With continued global expansion and site growth, this is an excellent opportunity to join a company playing a key role in the transition to a low-carbon future.
This role will oversee a small regional HSE team and provide leadership across the sites, driving safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance and delivering the organisation s HSE strategy.
A key focus of the position will be supporting a major site expansion and managing the transition of one facility from Lower Tier to Upper Tier COMAH, ensuring robust Major Accident Hazard controls and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities

Lead HSE performance across three operational sites

Manage and develop a small regional HSE team

Drive safety culture, coaching and continuous improvement

Lead incident investigations, audits and risk management

Ensure compliance with COMAH and environmental regulations

Maintain strong relationships with regulators including HSE and SEPA

Support emergency preparedness and Major Accident Hazard controls
Requirements

Experience within Top Tier COMAH environments (at least Lower Tier)

Proven HSE leadership experience

NEBOSH General Certificate

Strong experience with MOC, PTW and incident investigations

Excellent stakeholder engagement skills

Full UK driving licence
