Position:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Planning Manager based at Ailsa Hospital, however, we have adopted a distributed working approach dependent on service need.

Hours and Shift Pattern:

This post is offered on a permanent basis, working 37 hours per week over 5 days.

What you will do:

You will bring together a high level of skills and expertise to support NHS Ayrshire & Arran, to take forward changes as a result of national direction or regional and local decisions including shifting the balance of care to meet the current and future needs of patients.

You will provide planning expertise to managers within the Acute Directorate and will support understanding on Planning matters within the Corporate Directorates where necessary, engaging with the Health and Social Care Partnerships in relation to matters of shared responsibility.

They will promote the implementation of planning frameworks to supply high level data, intelligence and advice to support operational and strategic planning at a local, partnership, regional and national level and will build capacity and capability within the organisation in their understanding of this planning landscape.

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:

You must be able to demonstrate and communicate a practical and theoretical understanding of intelligence driven planning and decision making and how to support this.

Building capacity and capability within the organisation on local, regional and national planning arrangements with the ability to challenge perceptions of planning.

To succeed in this role you will have recent experience of working in the NHS, other public sector or relevant organisations and have a successful track record in developing structures and systems to support the attainment of organisational goals.
