Job Description

Clinical Development Fellowship (CDF) – Acute Internal Medicine

Full time (40 hours per week)

For a period of 12 months (fixed term)

Salary scale – £47,438 – £74,591 per annum (pro rata if part time)

Applications are invited for the position of Clinical Development Fellow (CDF) in Acute Internal Medicine. However, the department would also consider applicants who have completed IMT training and are considering a career in Acute Internal Medicine.

Applicants are encouraged to visit the Department and meet key staff. Informal enquiries should be directed to Dr Holly Metcalfe, Consultant in Acute and General Medicine on or via the Acute Medicine Secretary, Michelle Kydd, on .

To apply for this post, please visit the job posting on the NHS Scotland Recruitment website. Applicants must have full GMC registration and a licence to practise at time of application, have two years registration with the GMC and have experience in an acute medical specialty within the last 12 months.

Applicants should note that appointment will be made at the earliest possible opportunity and the start date is not aligned to the August intake.

Candidates should provide original and authentic responses to all questions within the application form. The use of artificial intelligence (AI), automated tools, or other third-party assistance to generate, draft, or significantly modify responses is strongly discouraged. By submitting your application, you confirm that all answers are your own work, reflect your personal knowledge, skills and experience, and have not been solely produced or altered by AI or similar technologies. Failure to comply with this requirement may result in your application being withdrawn from the application process.
