Job Description

Purpose of the Role

To ensure the safety and security of the shopping centre, its customers, tenants, and staff by supervising security operations, managing personnel, and maintaining compliance with legal and organisational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Oversight:
  • Supervise day-to-day security operations across the shopping centre.
  • Monitor CCTV systems and coordinate incident response.
• Team Management:
  • Lead and motivate a team of security officers, ensuring adherence to SIA standards.
  • Organise shift schedules and manage attendance.
• Compliance & Safety:
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and security audits.
• Customer Service:
  • Act as a point of contact for tenants and visitors regarding security concerns.
  • Handle incidents professionally and maintain accurate reports.
• Emergency Response:
  • Implement evacuation procedures and liaise with emergency services when required.

Any other fair and reasonable tasks as set out by company and or site management.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

• Valid SIA Licence (Security Industry Authority).
• Proven experience in security supervision within retail or commercial environments.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation and emergency procedures.
• Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions.

Working Hours – 48hrs a week, shift pattern

Salary – £35,090pa/£14.02per hour
