CNC Miller – Permanent Role
Location: Livingston Sector: Precision Engineering
A well-established precision engineering manufacturer in Livingston is seeking an experienced CNC Miller to join their growing production team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a stable business operating across a range of high-quality, regulated sectors.
The Role
This is a hands on CNC milling position within a modern workshop environment. You’ll be producing high quality components to tight tolerances using a variety of materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- CNC milling using Hurco machines (programming, setting, and operating)
- Working with stainless steel, aluminium, and plastics
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Inspecting your own work to ensure quality standards are met
- Working to commercial deadlines while maintaining accuracy
- Performing basic machine maintenance and keeping the workspace clean and safe
- Working independently with minimal supervision
About You:
- Time served CNC Miller
- Experience with manual and CNC milling
- Experience operating and programming Hurco CNC machines is essential
- Ability to program using models / DXF files
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable, motivated, and a good team player
- Good understanding of health & safety requirements
Working Pattern:
- 39 hour working week
- Flexible hours with core times:
- Monday Thursday: 9:00am – 3:00pm
- Friday: 9:00am – 12:30pm
- Most employees start around 7:00am
- Overtime available depending on workload (not guaranteed)
