Job Description

As Structural Steel Estimator, you will produce accurate, competitive estimates for fabrication, welding, and site installation projects-from material take-offs to full assemblies. You’ll work closely with internal teams and clients to deliver clear, commercially sound tenders that support project success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review engineering drawings and specifications
  • Complete material take-offs and price materials, labour, plant, and logistics
  • Prepare tender submissions and documentation
  • Attend site visits to assess scope and constraints
  • Liaise with clients and internal teams on technical and commercial details
  • Maintain pricing records and support project cost control

Requirements

  • Fabrication background (light-medium; heavy beneficial) with welding and assembly experience
  • Strong understanding of shop floor engineering processes
  • Proven take off and site installation pricing experience
  • Good communication skills and professional client approach
  • Right to work in the UK and commutable to Kirkcaldy
