HSSU Co ordinator (Bank) – Glasgow Hospital

Position: Sterile Services – Bank Contract – Ad hoc – Evening & Weekend Availability. Pay: £13.50 per hour (dependent on experience).

Main Duties

  • Move and handle trays and items of various weights and sizes.
  • Implement strict infection prevention standards for the decontamination of endoscopic equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records and keep documentation up to date.
  • Dispose of contaminated waste in accordance with hospital policy.
  • Ensure equipment is in good working order, reporting all faults.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy working environment.
  • Take action to rectify problems and appropriately escalating any issues.

Qualifications

Basic computer literacy and strong organisational skills. Experience in processing used surgical instruments for dispatch, receiving sterile surgical equipment, and supporting theatre teams.
