Job Description

Job Title:HGV Class2 ADR Driver
Start Date:ASAP
Contract Length:Temporary with the opportunity of Permanent
Location:Aberdeen
Pay Rate:£21.15 per hour basic
Hours:Monday to Friday- weekend working may be required
The UK and Ireland’s leading provider of industrial, medical, and special gases requires a HGV Class 2 driver with ADR licence on an ongoing basis.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the road worthiness, safekeeping and cleanliness of the vehicle allocated.
  • Completing daily pre-use inspection check sheet for the vehicle and any specialised equipment that may be needed as part of daily work.
  • If necessary, operating special BOC equipment such as a forklift truck or crane for loading and unloading vehicles.
  • Applying defensive driving techniques, knowledge of commercial driving regulations and roads to ensure the safe transit and delivery of cylinders.
  • Using safe cylinder manual handling techniques to deliver/collect cylinders to/from customers.
  • Adhering to strict Health & Safety operations.

Requirements for HGV Class 2 Driver:

  • Working away from home is required
  • Possession of a HGV/LGV Cat C driving license.
  • ADR (Class 2 in packages) desirable; training will be provided where appropriate.
  • A driver CPC is required.
  • Adept knowledge of defensive driving and Driver Regulations, including HSA regulations.
  • Ability to interact with internal and external customers.
  • A high level of personal integrity would be advantageous.
  • Holding the LGV entitlement of your driving license for a minimum of 2 years, for insurance purposes.
