Business Support Administrator – Gilmerton Community Centre
Overview
We are looking for a Business Support Administrator to join our team. The BSA will be primarily based in Gilmerton Community Centre; however, the post is peripatetic to working in any centre across the city.
The part-time hours are: Monday and Friday 9.00am-3.30pm and Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 9.00am-5.00pm.
Gilmerton Community Centre is a vibrant, busy and welcoming community resource for the area. We require an experienced administrator to provide comprehensive and flexible business support across the service.

Salary ranges reflect initial starting salary with annual increases up to the top of the range.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will demonstrate evidence of the following experience, knowledge, skills and understanding. Specific responsibilities include:
- Provide business support / administration services to internal and/or external customers (Essential)
- Provide clerical and administrative services (Essential)
- Organise and plan workload and work with minimal supervision (Essential)
- Work in a large, complex organisation (preferably public sector) (Desirable)
Knowledge/Skills
- Team working skills with the ability to collaborate with colleagues (Essential)
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to engage with internal and external contacts (Essential)
- IT skills at an intermediate level (Essential)
- Ability to operate in a changing environment and manage competing priorities (Essential)
- Flexible and proactive approach with the ability to prioritise (Essential)
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times (Essential)
