Job Description
We seek an individual to join our Adult Acute Admissions Inpatient Team which is a dynamic multidisciplinary team within Ward 2, Queen Margaret Hospital.
Ward 2 provides acute inpatient mental health care to a mixed population of up to 30 patients within our hospital site at Whitefield Road, Dunfermline.
As a pivotal member of the team you should possess good interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), and a genuine interest in working within the Acute Field. The post holder will contribute to providing high quality evidence based care and support to patients who experience a diverse range of mental health issues within the Acute Mental health Service. The post holder will provide person centred care and ensure that this is pivotal to their overall approach.
Ward 2 is a fast paced environment and the ideal candidate should be motivated, work well as a member of the team and support a positive and therapeutic culture which is focused on the ever changing needs of the patient group.

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to appointment.
