Job Description

Domiciliary Optical Assistant – Kilmarnock, Ayrshire & the West Coast of Scotland

We’re working with a well-established domiciliary provider seeking an experienced Optical Assistant to deliver eye care to patients in their own homes across Kilmarnock, Ayrshire and the West Coast of Scotland. It’s a varied, rewarding role with Monday-Friday working, early finishes most days and no weekends.

Important: You must have at least 12 months’ optical experience to be considered.

The Role:

  • Supporting domiciliary eye care clinics
  • Visiting patients in their homes across Ayrshire and the West Coast
  • Dispensing eyewear, including varifocals
  • Working independently or within split (Z) clinics
  • Managing around 4-12 dispenses per day

You’ll Need:

  • Minimum 12 months’ optical experience
  • Confidence working independently
  • Full clean driving licence
  • A calm, caring and professional approach
  • Acuitas or care experience is a bonus
